With a relative density of 1.3266 at 20/4°C, it boasts a melting point of -95.1°C and a boiling point of a mere 40°C, with an autoignition threshold at 640°C. The viscosity at 20°C stands at 0.43mPa·s, while the refractive index nD at 20°C is 1.4244. Its critical temperature and pressure are 237°C and 6.0795MPa respectively. Upon pyrolysis, it yields HCl and minute *** traces, and extended heating with water can produce formaldehyde along with HCl. Further chlorination augments it into CHCl3 and CCl4, enhancing its chemical prowess!
