Product Introduction

Butyl acetate, structural formula CH3C(O)On-C4H9. It is a colorless, transparent liquid with a pleasant fruity odor. Lower homologues are poorly soluble in water; miscible with organic solvents such as alcohols, ethers, and ketones. It is flammable. It has low acute toxicity, but it is highly irritating to the eyes and nose, and can cause anesthesia at high concentrations. Butyl acetate is an excellent organic solvent with good solubility for ethyl cellulose, cellulose acetate butyrate, polystyrene, methacrylate resin, chlorinated rubber, and a variety of natural gums.

First-aid Measures
Skin contact: Take off contaminated clothing and rinse the skin thoroughly with soap and water.
Eye contact: Lift the eyelids and rinse with running water or saline. Seek medical attention.
