Colorless, transparent, slightly sweet, stable viscous liquid. Relative density 1.1274 (15ºC), freezing point -7.2ºC, boiling point 289.4ºC, refractive index 1.4578 (15ºC), ignition point 173.9ºC, flash point 330ºC (closed cup), ignition point 412.8ºC, vapor pressure lPa (20ºC). Miscible with water, ethanol, benzene, , poorly soluble in ethers, insoluble in petroleum ether. It has oxygen atoms and hydroxyl groups connected to alkyl groups, so it has the properties of alcohol and ether.

First-aid Measures
