It effortlessly blends with chlorinated hydrocarbon solvents, ethanol, ether, and N,N-dimethylformamide, regardless of the ratio. Embrace its impressive relative density of 1.3266 (20/4°C), a chilling melting point of -95.1°C, and a brisk boiling point of 40°C. With an autoignition temperature reaching 640°C, its viscosity at 20°C is a mere 0.43mPa·s, and it dazzles with a refractive index nD (20°C) of 1.4244. The critical temperature and pressure stand at a formidable 237°C and 6.0795MPa respectively. Upon pyrolysis, it evolves into HCl and traces of ***, while prolonged heating with water induces formaldehyde and HCl formation. Further chlorination leads to the creation of CHCl3 and CCl4.
