With a relative density of 1.3266 (20/4°C), melting point at -95.1°C, and boiling point at 40°C, this liquid is both practical and efficient. The autoignition point of 640°C and a viscosity of 0.43mPa·s (20°C) further highlight its impressive properties, while the refractive index nD (20°C) of 1.4244 ensures precision. A critical temperature of 237°C and a critical pressure of 6.0795MPa reflect its stability under various conditions. During pyrolysis, it releases HCl and trace ***, and long-term heating with water yields formaldehyde and HCl. Additionally, further chlorination can produce valuable compounds like CHCl3 and CCl4.
